Some Answers

I’ve been recently asked some of the same questions, so I thought I would post some of those answers!
SIM (Serving in Mission) is an international mission organization with more than 1,600 active missionaries serving in over 40 countries. SIM members serve God among many diverse people groups in Africa, Asia, and South America. (for more info about SIM, check out their website, www.sim.org)
I will be in Zamba, working mainly for a church, who has started ministry on several Zambian campuses. I’m hoping to continue serving through discipleship and also through helping with weekly bible studies.
I’m planning to leave in October, but my plane ticket has not been bought yet. And I’m planning to be there for about a year.
I’m working on a newsletter to send to each of you, to give you more updates about where God is taking me!
Things to be be praying for:
- A Zambian national that I would connect with quickly, with whom I can develop a deep friendship.
- All small details and logistics of traveling internationally to fall into place, without worry taking over.
- Preparation in my heart for the physical, emotional, and spiritual changes that will be happening soon.
My Life Come October

One of the requests from the church in Zambia is for people to disciple and teach the current leaders. My heart is to help enable and equip the Zambian church to have mature trained leaders discipling believers in the church and able to minister effectively to those outside the church.
There is currently campus ministry going on at three universities in the city of Ndola. I will be coming on board and joining a team of people already doing ministry in this area, but I will be working with young women, those that are commonly left behind in the African culture. I will help lead, facilitate, and just be a part of the Bible studies already taking place.
In addition I will be part of an international, culturally diverse team. My co-workers will consist of Asians, Canadians, Europeans, and Africans just to name a few!
